Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about FitEcho and voice-first workout tracking.
What is FitEcho?
FitEcho is an AI-powered voice-first workout tracking app for personal trainers. Instead of typing exercises, sets, and reps into your phone, you speak naturally and FitEcho logs everything automatically. It reduces workout logging time from 5-8 minutes to under 60 seconds per session.
How does voice workout logging work?
You speak naturally, like you would tell a training partner. For example: "Did 4 sets of squats, 225 for 8, then 245 for 6, 6, and 5." FitEcho's AI processes your speech, identifies the exercises, extracts sets, reps, and weights, and organizes it into a structured workout log. No special commands or syntax needed.
How accurate is voice workout logging?
Voice logging achieves approximately 95% data completeness compared to approximately 70% for manual entry. The AI is trained on fitness terminology and understands common abbreviations, gym slang, and complex set structures like supersets, drop sets, and tempo work. You can always review and edit the parsed results before confirming.
Is FitEcho free?
Yes. FitEcho is currently in free beta on the iOS App Store. Download it, create an account, and start logging workouts by voice immediately. No credit card required, no trial period. We'll introduce premium tiers later, but the beta is completely free.
What platforms does FitEcho support?
FitEcho is currently available on iOS (iPhone) via the App Store. Android support is planned for a future release.
Who is FitEcho built for?
FitEcho is designed primarily for in-person personal trainers who manage multiple clients (typically 15-25+). It solves the problem of logging client workouts during sessions without disrupting coaching flow. It's also useful for strength coaches, gym-goers who want hands-free logging, and anyone who finds manual workout tracking tedious.
What exercises can FitEcho track?
FitEcho recognizes hundreds of exercises across strength training, cardio, and functional fitness. This includes bench press, squats, deadlifts, rows, curls, lateral raises, cable movements, machine exercises, and cardio like running, cycling, and stair climbing. It also understands compound set structures like supersets, circuits, and drop sets.
Can FitEcho handle supersets, drop sets, and other complex workout formats?
Yes. FitEcho's AI understands complex set structures. You can say "Superset: lateral raises 25 pounds for 12, face pulls 40 pounds for 15, three rounds" and it will log the entire superset correctly. Drop sets, giant sets, and tempo work are all supported.
How is FitEcho different from MyFitnessPal or Strong?
FitEcho is built voice-first, meaning voice is the primary input method — not a feature added to a typing-based app. MyFitnessPal focuses on nutrition tracking with basic workout logging. Strong is a manual-input weightlifting tracker. FitEcho is the only app designed specifically for logging workouts by speaking naturally, and it's optimized for personal trainers managing multiple clients.
Can I use FitEcho for my own workouts, not just clients?
Absolutely. While FitEcho is optimized for personal trainers tracking client sessions, it works perfectly for your own workouts too. Just speak your exercises and let the app handle the logging.
Does FitEcho work offline?
Voice processing requires an internet connection for the AI to interpret your speech accurately. However, your workout data is stored locally on your device and syncs when you're back online.
What language does FitEcho support?
FitEcho currently supports English. The AI understands common fitness terminology, abbreviations (like 'bench' for bench press, 'deads' for deadlifts), and natural speech patterns used in gym environments.
Does FitEcho replace my current PT software?
No. FitEcho is a workout logging tool, not a full PT management platform. It doesn't do workout programming, scheduling, payments, or meal planning. It's designed to work alongside your existing tools — replacing only the slow, manual logging step.
How do I get started with FitEcho?
Download FitEcho from the iOS App Store for free. Create your account, and you can start logging your first workout by voice in under a minute. Just tap the microphone and speak naturally — "bench press, 3 sets, 8 reps at 185 pounds" — and watch FitEcho handle the rest.
Where is FitEcho based?
FitEcho is based in Dubai, UAE. We started by building for the UAE's 18,000+ certified personal trainers, but the app works for trainers and gym-goers anywhere in the world.
